The Bird Plates

One night, my friend Heather and I were at the mall, perusing through Dillard's, when I saw the platter of my dreams. It had a beautiful blue trim, beautiful flowers, beautiful birds on the coordinating dinner plate...they were GORGEOUS. Thoughts of sticking the platter in my purse and running came to mind. Thoughts of registering solely for the Lenox Chirp pattern without being engaged came to mind.

I had a moment with a plate.

My best friend Caitlin (who happens to be Heather's sister-in-law) actually registered for the same pattern. Reason 1 million we're best friends.

Fast forward to Wednesday when The Pioneer Woman was having a give away for the very china pattern I've longed for months. I entered, along with 11,000+ people. The question was to rank your love for china on a scale from 1-10. I thought that there was no way in hell I would ever win the plates. I never win anything. Ever.

Thursday night came, she still hadn't posted the winner. Me, being obsessed, kept checking and then I saw this...

I totally won!

I literally, screamed, causing Brian to look at me like I've completely lost my mind. I could not believe that I had actually won AND PW herself called me "sweet Page." I was ecstatic!

By the way, Brian still hates the "bird plates." Here's hoping that when they arrive, he'll fall in the love with them. Doubt it, but a girl can dream! :)
